How to Set Up Your IPTV on Amazon Firestick

How to Set Up Your IPTV on Amazon Firestick

What You'll Need Before You Start

Setting up IPTV on a Firestick sounds technical, but it's genuinely a five-minute job. If you can install an app on your phone, you can do this — and you only have to do it once.

Here's your checklist:

  • An Amazon Firestick (any recent model) connected to Wi-Fi

  • Your Streampia login details — username, password, and portal URL, all in your welcome email

  • About five minutes of your time

Step 1: Allow Apps from Unknown Sources

Your Firestick blocks outside apps by default, so we need to flip one switch first. Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options and turn on "Apps from Unknown Sources."

On newer Firestick models, Developer Options is hidden. Go to Settings → My Fire TV → About, then click the device name seven times to unlock it. (Amazon keeps moving this setting around, so don't feel bad if you have to hunt for it.)

Step 2: Install the Downloader App

Open the Amazon App Store, search for "Downloader" — the orange icon by AFTVnews — and install it. This is the tool you'll use to grab your IPTV player app.

Step 3: Install Your IPTV Player

Open Downloader and type in the download URL from your welcome email. For beginners, we recommend IPTV Smarters Pro — it's clean, simple, and just works. If you like tinkering, TiviMate is the power user's favorite with far more customization. We compare both in detail in our complete 2026 Firestick setup guide.

Step 4: Log In and Start Watching

Open the player app, choose "Login with Xtream Codes API," then enter the username, password, and portal URL from your welcome email. Hit login — your channels and movies will load up. Grab the remote. You're done.

Quick Troubleshooting

  • App won't install? Double-check that "Apps from Unknown Sources" is actually switched on.

  • Login keeps failing? Copy and paste the credentials instead of typing them — one wrong character breaks the whole thing, and the portal URL has to match exactly.

  • Buffering or freezing? Read why anti-freeze technology matters for streaming — and make sure your Firestick has a strong Wi-Fi signal (an Ethernet adapter helps a lot).

That's It — Enjoy
